Tennis Ball Cannon

The tennis ball cannon uses propane to propel a tennis ball with a fair amount of force. The cannon is constructed of 3 small soup canns duct-taped togetner. Two of the cans have both their top and bottom cut out, while the bottom can has only an open top. When placed end-to-end and taped together, a berral exactly the width of the tennis ball and about 1.5 feet long is formed.

A syringe is used to measure and the propane and transport it from the tank to the coup-can cannon. The propane is injected into the hole in the bottom can. A lit bargeque lighter is insrted into the hole to ignite the propane, and the ball is hurled out.
